Acupuncture is a complimentary medicine that involves pricking the skin with fine needles to gain access to acupuncture points. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) looks at the body as Meridians, that are linked to internal organs.
There are 12 major meridians and 2 extra meridians. The ancient Chinese look at these meridians as your body's highway. If there is a back up along the meridians, disease could settle in, and your body has now become out of
balance. Depending on how long these blockages have been in place will determine how many treatments it will take to get your body back into balance.
Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese medicine that dates back 5000 years. Used to alleviate pain, and treat various imbalances in the body physical, mental, emotional conditions. Some of the common imbalances Acupuncture can assist with are the following: Abdominal Cramping, Anxiety, Back Pain, Body Pain, Mental Health, Fatigue, Infertility, Menstrual Cycle Concerns, Night sweats, and Stress.
Acupuncture uses fine needles to puncture the skin, you may not feel anything, you may feel a heaviness in the area around the needle site or you may feel a sensation travel through your body. In Chinese medicine this is referred to
as qi (Chee). What is qi (Chee)? Qi means energy flow. Just like the air we breath, this is a natural energy that is in each and everyone of us. Immaterial means of qi (chee) would be referred to as nerve impulses, heat, thought and emotion.

For many years I have suffered through my monthly cycle, seeing my family physician and Gynecologist which were both great but could not change the unpredictable pattern and painful dreaded monthly cycle. My next step was medication or even maybe a hysterectomy. Neither was preferred by me. Through random conversation with Andrea she felt strongly that she could help, if not completely change my body chemistry through acupuncture. I was a bit sceptical but was willing to give it a try. I noticed changes soon after the second treatment. It is months later and all though I'm not 100% I'm much better than I have ever been and no longer need to think about daily medication or a hysterectomy.
Andrea is warm and welcoming. She makes you feel important and very comfortable. Andrea listens to what is going on with your body and asks all the right questions. I am so very grateful for the changes I have seen and felt through her treatment and care. I would highly recommend giving Andrea a try. You won't be disappointed.
Over the past few months I'm very happy to say that Andrea was able to identify and address several areas of pain and discomfort mostly related to my sport injuries. Her massage therapy cupping techniques combined with specific acupuncture treatments has made significant positive improvements with my pain management. Successive treatments has enabled me to continue with playing sports and more importantly has given me the physical freedom to do every day activities without reoccurring pain symptoms.
Andrea's knowledge and experience of acupuncture gained from her clinical practice has benefited greatly, specifically dealing with my knee's osteoarthritis.
I will be sure to follow up with you at your new clinic and wish you much success with your practice!
Andrea Low is an excellent Acupuncture Practitioner. She is a conscientious and intuitive professional. She listens and understands a patient's concerns and takes the time to explain what treatment she feels is best for them.
Andrea has assisted me with several issues that I have encountered over the last year including digestive problems, numbness in my arm due to pinched nerves, as well as foot pain relief relating to plantar fasciitis.
Andrea is a positive, enthusiastic and thorough practitioner and I would not hesitate to recommend her services to anyone.
